SeatGeek — the mobile-first marketplace.
New York-based, founded in 2009. The youngest of the three with the cleanest mobile checkout and the easiest welcome-credit mechanism in the US resale market. Primary-ticketing partner for several MLS clubs and NBA teams, which means a slice of their inventory is first-release, not resale — subtle advantage on fees.
What SeatGeek does well
- Deal Score. Each listing gets a 1–10 score comparing price-to-value against similar seats on the same event — the cleanest signal of the three platforms when you're shopping sideways across sections.
- Welcome credit. New accounts receive an easy $20–60 credit against the first purchase. Our SG-WELCOME code shaves another $59.99 on top for qualifying orders — stacking is permitted on new accounts.
- Native primary inventory. For clubs where SeatGeek is the primary ticket partner, you pay the venue's face-value fees, not the resale premium. Worth checking before you buy a resale listing for the same event.
Where SeatGeek is weaker
- Smaller catalogue outside sports. Thinner inventory for Broadway and regional theatre than Vividseats or StubHub.
- Promo cadence is narrow. The welcome credit is the headline promo; recurring codes are mostly category-specific (NHL, concerts under $400) rather than site-wide.
- Mobile-first means mobile-biased. Desktop checkout is functional but visibly a port of the mobile app. If you're on a laptop with multiple cards, the saved-card picker is cramped.
How SeatGeek promo codes work in practice
The promo code field sits at the top of the review-order step. Codes stack with your welcome credit on new accounts; they do not stack with each other, and they do not stack with a redemption of past-event credit from a prior cancellation. Mobile-only codes (e.g. our SGFALL10) are enforced server-side — if you type a mobile code in the desktop web checkout you'll get a polite "this code is for the app" message.

Who should use SeatGeek
First-time buyers (the welcome credit is genuinely the easiest money of the three platforms), mobile-only buyers, and MLS/NBA fans whose team uses SeatGeek as primary ticket partner. For deep inventory on StubHub's territory, StubHub still wins.
